Die neuen FAS2240 Modelle ersetzen die FAS2020 und FAS2050 und liefern zwei- bis dreifache Performanceverbesserungen sowie mehr Flexibilität. Die Systeme werden entweder als 2-HE oder 4-HE Formfaktor geliefert. Die FAS2040 bleibt bestehen, dort gibt es eine Preissenkung.

Mit der FAS2240 wird das Software-Lizenzmodell geändert. CIFS-, FCP-, iSCSI- und NFS Protokolle sowie das ONTAP Basispaket (FAS2040) und ONTAP Essentials (FAS2240) sind jetzt stets
im Preis enthalten.

Ultra Consulting hat in Solingen neben FAS2000-, FAS3000- und FAS6000-Systemen in Kürze auch ein
FAS2240 System installiert, welches beispielsweise in Kombination mit VMware vSphere, XenServer, Hyper-V,
Exchange, SQL, Sharepoint, SAP oder Oracle in unserem Demolab in Solingen vorgeführt werden kann.
